I was persnickety today. I don’t love persnickety. I prefer bubbly and joyful. Lighthearted and kind. Princess not witch. But, today, I think I was a witch. The kids totally had to clean their rooms. I told them as much. Very loudly. Then, I went downstairs and ate a handful of chocolate chips. See? Persnickety to a T.
Thankfully, the rest of the week has been colorful, delicious, and utterly delightful. What with lazy snow days and a slew of quick and yummy treats. To make up for tomorrow, I plan to feed my children all sorts of things slathered in peanut butter and bacon and maraschino cherries.
I will hug them and sing lilting replies to their every need and feed them sprinkles and snow cream. But not chocolate chips.
Because, someone may have eaten all the chocolate chips tonight. (ahem).
Orange Creamscicle Snow Cream. Turn your fresh fallen snow into a delicious homemade ice cream.
Bacon Wrapped BBQ Hot Dogs. So good, their sinful.
Ultimate Peanut Butter Bars. Peanut butter chocolate chip cookie crust. Peanut butter filling. Chocolate buttercream. Nuff said.
Banana Split French Toast. This quick little take on a breakfast classic caused my tweenager to shout, “I want to marry this stuff! It’s amazing!”
Wishing you a delicious weekend.
(Without the least bit of persnicketiness.) Hugs!
