Get Your Holiday Bake On

I’ve got sick babies at home. They’re big kids and all, but they’re still my babies. So, when there are sniffles and fevers and sore throats, the schedule slows down and we catch hours of Charmed episodes off Netflix. It’s so hard watching sick people.

It’s likewise hard getting a good lot of anything done in the house when there are little bodies to be snuggled and nursed. So, though there’s a nice calendar of upcoming recipes that shall one day appear here on Cheeky Kitchen, some of the more awesomeish ones are postponed in lieu of pediatrician visits, and the dramatic entanglements of Prue, Piper and Phoebe.

And just for the record, we all love Phoebe the best over here. Cough. Sniffle. Cough cough.

Needing some serious holiday baking? Here’s a few recipes to get your wheels a turnin’…

Recipe in that photo up there? Egg Nog Tres Leches Cake. Yum. Hi. Yum.

Get your one-bite glamour on with Sugar Cookie Truffle Bites. You can also get your two-bite glamour on. Or your ten-bite glamour on. Or, you know, you’re whole-batch glamour on.

This one here? Gingerbread Apple Cake, my people. Because I can’t be there to snuggle you through sickness, so coffee cake comes in the meantime. It’s a happy thing.

Those sugar cookie truffle bites would be gone immediately in my house. Caramel in that little cup would be awesome too! Thanks for the easy recipe and hope the kiddos are feeling better.
