Kiss Gloss {revisited}

Remember way back in December when we made Kiss Gloss? It was fun. It was fabulous. It had petroleum jelly inside of it.

Apparently petroleum jelly is everyone’s least favorite thing ever.

Apparently, if petroleum jelly isn’t your least favorite thing ever, it should be.

So, in honor of the season of kissing, the kids and I hit up Whole Foods and conjured a totally new, totally fab recipe for non-petroleum-jellied Kiss Gloss.

This gloss isn’t goopy like the other gloss. It dries firm and perfect, just like real live, non-homemade gloss. Except it’s cuter because you made it at home, duh.

We even tossed a bit of lipstick into the batch and turned out gloss that was colorful and cute as can be. Yay us.

    Okay, this is just to freakin’ precious for words!! And I think I might have to resource myself some of these and keep a jar everywhere. No more missing tubes of chapstick and lipgloss for me!!

    I like petroleum jelly! BUT mostly for the convenience, how cheap it is, and the fact that we still have massive quantities left in the house from when my son was a baby…. which was a long time ago.

    And I would rather have something cute like this!

    You can buy small bags of the Beeswax pearls at Michael’s or Hobby Lobby. The cocoa butter can be purchased in a stick at most drugstores (Dollar General has it too). Shea Butter is a little harder to find, if you can’t find it, you can just use coconut oil or more cocoa butter.
