Hunt for Treasure!
There’s something deliciously fun about the kitchen. It’s the place we gather, the place we eat, the place we sit and sip and enjoy the end of the day. It’s where cupcakes are made. And breakfasts in bed. Hot bread. Tender steaks. Grandma’s piping hot dinner rolls, all fresh and fluffy straight out of the oven.

Bleu-Cheese Stuffed Burger
2 pounds lean ground hamburger
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/2 cup bleu cheese, crumbled
4 tablespoons butter
1 cup mushrooms
1 clove garlic, chopped
4 hamburger buns
8 tablespoons mayonnaise
8 slices of bacon, cooked and cut in half
1 cup baby arugula or baby spinach leaves
salt and pepper to taste
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
In a large bowl, mix together hamburger, 2 cloves of garlic, 1 teaspoon salt, and a generous amount of fresh-crushed pepper. Roll hamburger mixture into four even-sized balls. Working with one ball at a time, press in a Good Cook hamburger press. Fill the center with 2 tablespoons crumbled bleu cheese. Fold the edges of the burger over the filling, press and seal the hamburger completely around the filling.
In a grill pan or Good Cook skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Brown burgers on both sides, then transfer burgers to a baking dish and bake in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes more, or until the center meat of the burgers is cooked through. Add remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 cloves chopped garlic to the skillet. Cook mushrooms until softened.
To serve: place hamburger on hamburger buns. Top with mushrooms, bacon, and arugula or spinach. Schmear the top of each bun with mayonnaise. Serve and enjoy!
