Perfect Pot de Creme
Psssst. Chocolate is calling to you.
Doesn’t it always? That dirty little dog. No matter how good-for-you I eat, the end of the day calls and I still wanna dive into a pot of chocolate. Not a lot. Just a little spoonful of sweetness.
Still. Chocolate stuff so often comes as cakes or cookies. It’s all sorts of naughty stuff with frosting on top. So, when Chic mag asked for a recipe to go with their Bold issue (just hit stands! Nab your copy here, photog mamas) I figured it was downright time to pull together a pot de creme. A little pot of chocolate and cream. That’s it. No cake. No frosting. Just pure, mousselike, chocolatey perfection.
I feel like I know you agree with me. So let’s cut the niceties and just dive right in.
Sound off! When I was snapping photos for this recipe, I was thinking of the milllionbillion things I’d like to serve on top as a pretty little garnish. Berries are a natural. A little kiss of chocolate shavings. But, what else? How would you top your pot de creme?
