I remember that sad feeling after people left after holiday get-togethers. As a child I couldn't understand why we couldn't celebrate for longer.

I have to say that I thought driving away from family (or having family drive away from you) would get easier as I matured. I think it gets worse. Don't tell Andrew. Maybe the cookies will help my own lonely heart. Or maybe they wont help... but they can't hurt, right?!

Aw. The same thing happens to my 10 year old when we have to leave my parents' house. He just misses them so much it breaks our hearts. How wonderful that you were all together for Thanksgiving.
